Experiment Status 1.3 - Open Experiment
Hello ! It's time for the next update for the game. This time, it's a bit special. I'm still updating things here and there on the book. But, after some light playtest, it became apparent that there was a starting problem. Another problem was that the STARs, the core attributes of the game, used in Rolls, weren't working well with the generic weapon list. So I had to work on a new idea, which is the next step from the Battle Profiles.
Since the replacement for them, the Armaturae, is quite a big leap, that will necessitate a rewording of many things here and there, down the line, I must ensure the core of the battle system is working. Hence, I will freely share on the game's page the Early version of this Battle System, including the Armaturae that are complete (but still in the rough state)
The Armaturae *are* unbalanced. Broken. But the point of this phase of development is to determine the footing. Balance will come next. How well do the ideas work ? How to reinforce the themes I want to explore in battle scenes ? Do the Armaturae have a good identity ?
